The Collections Specialist Responsibilities :

  • Contact clients via phone and email to collect outstanding debts and resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the financial software.
  • Negotiate payment plans with clients while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Review accounts for discrepancies and follow up on any issues related to payments or billing.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate account management, including debits and credits.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Utilize accounting software for tracking collections and generating reports on account status.
  • Assist in the development of strategies to improve collection processes and reduce outstanding debts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in collections or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial software applications.
  • Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately.
  • Proficient in customer service practices with strong phone etiquette.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Familiarity with coding related to financial transactions is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

High speed internet with the ability to hardwire via ethernet from cable modem to your PC.

You must meet all the technical requirements prior to the first day of training
