Description
The Process Improvement Professional 2 analyzes, and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. The Process Improvement Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Process Improvement Professional 2 researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost. Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: reconciliation queue management, benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
You will work in the Medicare Billing and Reconciliation area. Responsibilities may include:
Process improvement for reconciliation of government and Humana payments for Medicare
Reconciliation process improvement
Write business processes and procedures from data to business process to customer journey
Analyze the competitive landscape and apply learning to processes
Work autonomously or with minimal direction and thrive in ambiguity
Collaborate with key business partners, including: Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting, Product Development, Medicare and Medicaid Operations, Customer Service, IT Solutions Engineering, and IT project teams.
Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Experience in the design and/or development of business/quality systems (processes and procedures) and/or measurement systems• Knowledge of software development lifecycle• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio• Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and decision making• Ability to positively influence others• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Comfortable with change and ambiguity• Self-organizing and highly autonomous• Highly motivated to grow process improvement knowledge and skills• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree• Experience with performance excellence standards, e.g., TQM, Baldrige, ISO9001, etc.• Recent Medicare reconciliation experience• Experience with business process management (BPM) systems• Senior leadership presentation experience• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or experience with other performance or process improvement methodologies• Experience with implementation of automation and/or artificial intelligence• Experience influencing change in a matrix organization• Experience in the health solutions industry• Experience with measurement, balanced scorecards, and/or a KPI dashboard design and implementation• Experience with data modeling• Experience with Oracle, or other relational database• Power BI experience• Program and/or project management experience• Progressive business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
Additional Information• Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you have absolute and continuous privacy while you work. • Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and recommended speed for optimal performance from Humana systems is 10M x 1M
