The Church of the Brethren seeks an individual to fill a part-time hourly position of Brethren Press Customer Service and Warehouse Specialist. This person ships orders, receives and maintains inventory, and enters customer orders. The Customer Service and Warehouse Specialist is part of the Brethren Press team and reports to the Director of Marketing and Sales.

Skills and knowledge required:

The Customer Service and Warehouse Specialist must be able to work within a religious setting and become familiar with the Church of the Brethren organization and beliefs. Experience in congregational life is a plus. The employee must be able to represent Brethren Press and the Church of the Brethren positively by phone and in person; interact personably with customers, colleagues, and vendors; and communicate professionally both orally and in writing. This person will work comfortably in a team environment, plan work activities and use time efficiently, handle details and organize information, navigate digital technology, and efficiently use the system for processing orders and managing inventory.

High school diploma or general education degree. College preferred.

This position is based at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, IL.
