JOB DESCRIPTION
• Responsible for insuring the profitability of both Warehousing and Distribution operations for the respective division.
• Further develop and enhance the strategic business plan to accomplish the established growth and profitability objectives.
• Build on the current Executive infrastructure through developing a comprehensive succession plan.
• Build on current Management training and development programs to fortify a world-class logistics provider.
• Establish specific proactive initiatives to continue to maintain seamless best in class customer service. This is and has been the backbone of the success of the company.
• Orchestrate and deliver all aspects of an aggressive operating budget.
• Responsible for warehouse management, integration and development.
• Responsible for multiple distribution facilities, ranging from 250,000 – 600,000 sq. ft.
• Establish best practices through Six Sigma while driving profitability through KPIs.
• Participation and interaction with senior-level Executives of our clients.
• Participate in the development and execution of contract proposals.
REQUIREMENTS
• 15 years Senior Management experience successfully managing a national multiple facility/operation logistics company providing Distribution, and Warehouse services.
• Must have extensive 3PL multiple facility operations experience.
• Must have High Volume Retail/Apparel or e-commerce distribution experience.
• Consistently delivered all Operational and Financial initiatives for $40 Million plus in revenue.
• Possesses the ability and mindset to partner with the entrepreneurial culture that thrives on customer service, profitability, operational, execution and growth.
• Must have experience in working in a complex, fluid growth business environment.
• Has excelled in guiding an entrepreneurial culture to a Best in Class/Big Business environment through best practices, process improvement, and KPIs.
• Relative experience with delivering strategic operational initiative to financial partners.
• Participated in the related challenges associated with blending operations as a result of mergers and/or acquisitions.
• First-hand experience with a state-of-the-art Warehouse Management System – Manhattan Associates, Yard Management System, and Transportation Management System – Softpoint.
• Subscribes to a management style that embraces a hands-on approach to success.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
