The Division of Enrollment Management has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Assistant Director, Enrollment Operations Technology to work in Coral Gables, FL.
The Assistant Director will support Enrollment Management Operations, Admission, and Marketing for the ongoing development, integration, and enhancement of all Slate-related activities. This individual will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption of creative solutions. The Assistant Director will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new Slate-related business processes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Directly supervises the applications analyst position.
Partners with end-users to gather all requirements to formulate specifications and translates those into business functionality.
Designs, documents and tests Slate upgrades, enhancements, customizations, and additional integrations to advance Enrollment Management operations.
Assists IT in translating business requirements into application functionality.
Makes recommendations for Slate solutions to meet the business requirements of the enterprise.
Develops, edits, and maintains business process documentation, training materials and user guides.
Recommends, defines, and tests security roles for end-users' access to Slate.
Conducts training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
Monitors the accuracy of data and recommends needed changes or improvements.
Assists in the communications process for applicants and prospective students.
Develops and maintains a data dictionary for Enrollment Management-related systems.
Develops reports, queries, and dashboards.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintains a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand cross-functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow, and reporting.
Recommends and follows best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
Completes regular internal system audits and reports findings to the Director of EM Operations.
Assists in training of new users and grow the Slate solutions and skill set across Enrollment Management.
Communicates with team members and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
Identifies how to better integrate graduate processes that have partnered with EM Operations.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree required; BS or BA level degree preferred (work experiences can be used as a substitute for degree completion). Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
Experience in working within a Slate/CRM environment.
Proven technical ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
Experience in college/university administration, admission, or other enrollment management area.
Documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
Strong understanding of marketing best practices and functionality.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Superior technical and analytic skills tied to the Slate/CRM system.
Familiarity with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions or other student information system.
Knowledge and skills necessary to utilize multiple software packages, including database, word processing, spreadsheet, and reporting tools.
Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Effective as a team player as well as complete quality work independently.
Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Slate and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.
