Summary Motion Industries is currently seeking a Buyer to join our amazing team in the Cincinnati area. This person will need to be a self-motivated individual with experience in managing light weight belt procurement.u00A0 This position will purchase material required to satisfy customer requirements in a cost effective and timely manner. Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package that includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.u00A0u00A0 u00A0Essential Duties and Responsibilities Convert requisitions and process POu2019s including expediting and managing past due POu2019s. Acquire accurate PO and master data information from suppliers to update system. This may include lead times, MOQu2019s, shipping dates, pricing, freight, and ETAu2019s. Manage RFQu2019s for current product lines as well as special requests. Resolve any discrepancies with accounting, inventory control and receiving department. Reconcile supplier returns to recoup quality issues. Manage inventory within budgetary guidelines and back-up team members as needed Develop and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers of assigned lines Attend work regularly and predictably and uphold Company values in all work aspects.u00A0QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft office along with demonstrated ability and experience with systematic problem solving is preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and network well with internal and external personnel. Job requires the ability to work independently, with moderate to minimal supervision. MRP and inventory management experience Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is a must.u00A0Education and/or Experience Two or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment is preferred or a bacheloru2019s degree in Supply Chain Management or related business field.u00A0u00A0 Working Environment Working environment will range from office setting to manufacturing floor with interruptions requiring focus.u00A0 There may be slightly disagreeable environment aspects, such as some dirt, dust, fumes, or airborne particle exposure; heat in summer months, cool in winter months; noise from machines (under decibels required for hearing conservation program); and exposure to equipment with moving mechanical parts for time spent in the plant/production area.u00A0 Work outside of normal business hours may be required.u00A0 Infrequent travel including overnight travel for customer or supplier visits, training or meetings is expectedu00A0Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work on a computer for extended periods.u00A0 The employee is frequently required to talk and hear, sit, stand, walk, use his/her hands with coordination and precision to type and use a computer at regular speed and accuracy and see details at close range, as well as use hands to handle and reach with hands and arms.u00A0 The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.u00A0This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
