Contracting & Procurement (CP) is the Shell Group function accountable for the acquisition of all third-party goods and services and supply chain management for non-hydrocarbon requirements that support Shell business.

CP Operations is accountable for CP digital strategy, PGS processes (MM is delegated to MSC), systems design and implementation, operational excellence across source to pay, commercial procurement activities and PO transaction processing for all Shell Businesses.

What is the role?

This role assures the supply of materials to QGC’s Projects organisation and directly supports the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead, Project and Wells.

The Commercial Lead – Materials role:


Provides the principle interface for stakeholders involved in planning and scheduling of material requirements for Project related activity, including EPC suppliers
Coaches the QGC Supply Chain Operations materials team supporting Projects and Wells to deliver best practices.
Provides supply chain insights to planners and schedulers related to risks, threats or opportunities to the project delivery plan.
Continuously improves the project materials procurement process to simplify and eliminate manual effort.
Maximises local and indigenous content in purchasing.
Seeks innovative supply chain opportunities to minimise waste and carbon intensity.
Ensures Projects materials supply chain strategy supports IG Australia’s Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to QGC’s personal and process safety

Brisbane, Australia:

Senior Procurement Manager - Projects and Wells; Upstream and Midstream Project Managers – Greenfield and Brownfield; Project Cost Engineers, Senior Wells Engineer, Materials Manager; GM SC Australia.

Manila, Philippines:

Team Lead East – Project and Wells; Procurement Specialist – Projects; Senior Contract Specialist– Projects; Senior Contract Specialist – Wells; Technical Asset Organisation (TAO); P&P Lead IGPRES, GM SC Operations IGPRES

Dimensions:

100 wells of drilling, 600 well workovers per year

200m USD of yearly Project and Wells materials procurement

Requirements


Min 4 years CP experience in large capital projects (Brownfield or Greenfield) and/or Wells.
Min 10 years supply chain experience including contracting and materials management.
Mastery of SAP/ SAP VPS and ARIBA (SHARP). Familiarity with BG SAP& Power BI highly desirable.
ISM/MCIPS qualification highly desirable (but not mandatory)
Relevant Tertiary Degree.

Special Challenges (Complexity): This role will be directly involved in the retirement of a legacy Project system called Unifier and the migration to SAP VPS.
