UM Campus Dining
invites applications for a
Purchasing/Supply Associate I
to join their team. The Purchasing/Supply Associate I performs work under minimal supervision, providing direct guest service to members of the campus and the community at large. This position will properly receive, store, and rotate product inventory and deliver all food, equipment, and supplies for Residential Dining operations. The receiver will handle recycling, including proper bailing of cardboard, etc; accurately reconcile all purchase requisitions with invoices and UMCD transfers; keep all storage areas organized, clean, and sanitized as necessary and safe. The receiver keeps coolers, freezers, and shelves stocked and properly faced. Responsible for training students in proper techniques for receiving and proper rotation of items according to FIFO (First In First Out), time and temperature controls, sanitation, and cleanliness. Familiarity with CBORD forms and working knowledge of UMCD receiving policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
ServSafe certified within one year of employment.
Knowledge of standard receiving procedures.
Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
Have or ability to obtain a MT driver’s license within 6 months of hire.
Attend and pass a driver’s safety course provided by the University.
Minimum Required Experience:
High School diploma and one (1) year of experience in a dining operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CBORD forms and working knowledge of UMCD receiving policies and procedures.
