SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Warehouse Manager
to join an exciting program in Springfield, Virginia
whose primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient operation of a warehouse that serves as storage for facility support material and government procured Information Technology (IT) systems/equipment.  The warehouse manager will be expected to maintain an accurate inventory of government property using a warehouse management system; maintain a property management plan, standard operating procedures, key supporting documents, and conduct 100% physical inventories; follow established government property disposition guidance; and support audits readiness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively manage and operate the warehouse
Establish and/or maintain plans, policies, and procedures to ensure an accurate warehouse inventory
Maintain Key Supporting Documents for all accountable property transaction types (e.g., receipt, issue, transfer-in/out, consumed, or destruction/disposal)
Transport equipment and supplies in the local and extended areas as required using Government resources
Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Serve as the Property Custodian and complete required training
Support the Facility Manager by coordinating storage, movement and installation of office equipment/furniture and/or other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
BS and 5 years of experience; years of experience may be substituted
in lieu of degree.
Required skills:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a warehouse manager.
Experience maintaining an automated inventory of accountable property using a warehouse management system/inventory management system.
Maintain forklift and ladder safety qualifications per the facility provided training and qualification program.
Experience maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records.
Required to have a State driver’s license.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Required clearance:
Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI).
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
