Job Summary:
The Materials Estimator/ Coordinator is responsible for Estimating, implementing, monitoring, measuring, and reporting production schedules to ensure that materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Estimate the cost and availability of materials supporting the sales team during the bidding process.
Interface with production teams and procurement specialists to prioritize items.
Maintaining an effective and appropriate capacity management and production monitoring system.
Interface with production teams and procurement specialists to prioritize items.
Identify and resolve production demand and supply imbalances in volume and mix.
Provide daily guidance and information to the Product Line team regarding the status of production schedules.
Prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and flag other potential interruptions to the Planning Manager.
Monitor production progress against scheduling needs and intervene as necessary to bring deliveries back into compliance with production schedules.
Identify and report opportunities and implement actions to reduce waste, shorten lead times and reduce costs.
Report scheduling, capacity and production tracking data, statistics, and metrics.
Use the guiding principles and the tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement wherever applicable.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required, any planning, estimation, and purchasing education or certificate is a plus
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a planner or production line equivalent roles is an asset
A deep understanding of production capacity and materials requirements planning required
Previous experience with a material ERP is a must, previous SAP experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Excellent computer skill MS office 365 is required and Power Bi is a plus
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship
