Job Description:
As a member of the 3rd Party Commercial management team the Materials team is critical to the successful delivery of Lubricants to our customers on time, in-full, on-spec and at a competitive cost. The successful applicant will join a Lubricants Supply Chain team responsible for operationalizing in annual spend, managing key vendor relationships and optimizing flow of components to the North Americas lubricants blend plant network.
As a Materials Supplier Coordinator you will deliver significant value creation and cost reduction targets by applying commercial thinking, effective contract management, operations, production optimization and sharp collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role includes responsibilities as Contract Holder for numerous packaging and/or additive suppliers that support North America Lubricants production. Additional responsibilities would entail operational troubleshooting, GSAP and DDMRP system setup and execution, project launches, network cost savings, and end to end optimization across the Lubricants business.
Examples of activities in this role include active participation is contract negotiations, post award contract management, supplier performance reporting and data collection (OTIF, Quality, HSSE, etc.) along with providing supply needs for materials. Additionally, working across the Supply Chain along with Product Lifecycle Management and suppliers to plan and execute product introductions, changes, and withdrawals.
Contract Management: The 3rd Party Planner is the contract holder for their suppliers. Working closely with the Contract Owner and C&P focal, this role manages the supplier’s performance against defined KPIs including OTIF, Quality, and Cost through scheduled performance reviews. This role also helps set the overall strategic direction for Shell’s relationship and participates in contract negotiations. This role is expected to connect frequently with Demand Planning, Operations and Marketing to ensure and validate demand plan and develop production forecast for suppliers.
Value Creation/Cost Reduction: The Materials Supplier Coordinator is a commercial role with significant value creation or cost reduction targets requiring engagement with multiple internal stakeholders including Planning colleagues, Logistics, Contracts & Procurement as well as external stakeholders. The range of levers include contractual targets, production optimization, inbound component supply optimization, and support for inventory management

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in contracts, procurement, supply chain, logistics, managing contractors or other contracts related experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience with integrated SAP/O8/ERP systems, particularly Supply Chain Planning Tools, is an advantage.
Advanced computer & Software skills: GSAP, O8, Excel, Word, SharePoint.
Lubricants business knowledge advantageous.
Demonstrated commercial acumen through value creation/cost reduction.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Continuous Improvement & Extreme Ownership mindset.
