Long renowned for culinary excellence, Horizons is once again enhancing the experience for guests and associates alike.nJoin our award-winning team as Purchasing Manager and enjoy:nnHotel room discountsnFood & Beverage DiscountsnSpa discountsnFree GolfnFree use of fitness centernnYour responsibilities would include:nnObtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased, using Group Nominated suppliers where applicablenEnsure supplier information is kept currentnManage the database of active local contracts with suppliersnEnsure Purchasing Manual is currentnMaintain a record of commitments for all budgets and ensure that the relevant senior managers are constantly informed of updatesnEnsure a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase ordersnManage relationships with hotel suppliers and report on their performancenMonitor all areas of purchasing including contracts, leases and nominationsnPrepare the month end accounts reports in an accurate and timely mannernExecute on tasks/requests as instructed by the Hotel ManagementnProcess requisitions requested by departments during storeroom operating hours.nProcess the receipt of all goods guest packages according to hotel policies and procedures.nRead group resumes to anticipate group receiving needs prior to arrival.nStore and organize received goods.nPractice proper lifting procedures and safe handling of equipment.nPractice security procedures to limit loss or damage of goods.nKeep receiving dock and office clean and orderly throughout the day.nMaintain inventory of operating supplies (office and shipping).nComply with all department hotel, and company policies and proceduresnPerform any assigned task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform.nIf you are employed by a branded hotel property, please refer to branded job description for additional duties and information. nSupport COMPANY PILLARS by following and executing: Revenue Improvement, Cost Management/Profitability, Exceeding Guests Expectations, Associate Engagement, and Outstanding Physical Product.nAssists others as needed and special projects, as necessary.nnRequired qualifications:nnAssociates Degree preferred. n1 to 2 years of shipping and or receiving experience preferred.  nRequires good communication skills, both verbal and written.nMost tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader.nnRecently named the Best Hotel in Rochester, Woodcliff Hotel & Spa has a 30-year legacy of exceptional hospitality.
