About the job
This position is needed to
drive operational excellence across our Commercial Finance operations globally across a team of 20 finance professionals.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Drive best practices, process standardisation, deal rigor, reporting, and process improvements globally across Commercial Finance teams in NAMER, LATAM, EMEA, and APJ
Represent GTM Finance in monthly Sales Policy Governance Council & BI Governance Councils - deciding and updating key financial policies that govern our sales cycles
Work cross-functionally with Deal Strategy and Operations, Sales Efficiency, Enablement, and Legal teams to drive cross functional solutions reducing cycle times
Establish efficiency and operational metrics and consolidated reporting to measure, analyze and ultimately improve how Commercial Finance operates as a team
Publish recurring consolidated reporting to various stakeholders across Sales and Finance providing visibility into the operations of Commercial Finance
Drive adherence to internal controls, protocols and business processes
Establish project management and oversight across Commercial Finance initiatives
Establish review mechanisms with key stakeholders across product teams ensuring continual feedback loop of deal trends with Product Management priorities
Collaborate with the Enablement team on a continuous training and career development curriculum
Drive coordination between Segment, Flex, IoT, Email and TWLO specialist deal desk teams
Help establish the long term vision for the Commercial Finance function, identifying ways to gain cost leverage across our team
Participate in selective deal reviews with Sales and Sales Management

Required:
7 years of experience in progressive financial roles
Sales Finance experience at a SaaS company preferred
Deep understanding of P&L components, unit economics, commercial functions, and common GTM / software metrics
Experience operating across a matrixed organization, and driving pricing analysis for custom deals
Project management experience
Strong communication & analytical skills; experience presenting to C-level or equivalent leadership
