T&D Operations Manager','201771','Engineering','!*!The T&D Operations Manager, working with the Regional GP Manager, will provide overall operational leadership for the Atlanta Transmission and Distribution Global Practice. Specific areas of responsibility include the following, with other duties as assigned by the Regional GP Manager: • Advocate for safety in the Division. • Responsible for the quality of work within the department including the facilitation of best practices and continuous improvement. Work with the Quality Manager to develop and champion effective and efficient processes and procedures. Implement and follow corporate and global practice quality initiatives.• Assists in the development of Regional GP strategy including the development of the Business Plan.• Responsible for operations level collaboration strategy with other Atlanta offices, ROs and WHQ.• Responsible for reviewing resource requirements with other management and assist with obtaining the necessary resources.• Provide overall leadership to the team through strong communication, empowering of others, and servant leadership.• Provide administrative, supervisory and technical direction for T&D Engineering personnel; review or provide oversight of personnel performance (90-day and annual performance appraisals, coaching sessions, etc.) to obtain quality and efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff while maintaining billability goals.• Responsible for fostering a healthy and vibrant employee-owner culture within the team through the leverage of sound team-building practices, the promotion and administration of effective conflict resolution, the promotion of ownership mentality, a healthy work-life balance, and community engagement.• Advance, develop, and promote technology, tools, and work flows to increase efficiency of designs, proposals, specification development, and project execution.• Identify training needs and oversee the development and administration of necessary training programs.• Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems. • Develop marketing, pricing, sales and customer retention strategies; initiates or assists in proposal development and contract negotiations.• Support initiatives for sales, revenue and income goals for the ATL T&D Global Practice • Achieves stated targets and standards for financial performance.• Manage department budgets;• Support diversity and community engagement initiatives.• Maintain strong relationships with ATL T&D clients and serve as an Account Manager.• Other duties as assigned','!*!• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program. • Minimum 8 years related professional experience in T&D project such as transmission and substation engineering design. • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. • Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change. • Candidates must possess strong design skills and a strategic perspective. • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer or have a detailed plan and commitment on achieving licensure within a reasonable amount of time. • Previous Project, Department, and Operations Management experience strongly preferred• Previous EPC experience strongly preferred• Proven client relationship building and maintenance is a plus
