A Director of Purchasing with Conrad Orlando plans, organizes, directs and controls all purchasing functions of the hotel to ensure that the highest quality product is purchased at the best possible price. Controls inventories at appropriate levels. Manages the RFP and bid process. Obtain bids from vendors according to the specifications set by the standards and/or department head. Determines the best possible price for the desired items and place orders for all food and non-food items. Schedules deliveries of items and monitor the quality of products received. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

Hire, supervise, train, coach, counsel and discipline purchasing staff to ensure smoothoperation of all aspects of the department.

Manage the RFP and bid process. Obtain bids from vendors according to the specificationsset by the standards and/or department head. Determine the best possible price for thedesired items and place orders for all food and non-food items.

Schedule deliveries of items and monitor the quality of products received to ensure theymeet the hotel’s established standards and operational needs as outlined by eachdepartment.

Communicate with Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs andorder all food and beverage products according to hotel needs and specifications. Forecastoperational needs and schedules deliveries of all food and beverage items.

Ensure all regional and corporate purchasing programs, policies and procedures are met.Monitor appropriate levels of inventories in order to minimize waste and maximize turnover.

Participate in all hotel meetings including staff, Food and Beverage, and Banquet EventOrder (BEO) meetings.

Guests will enjoy the ease of flow of our resort with meeting space provided on one end of the property offering separation from our leisure experiences located on the alternate end of the resort.

Off of the lobby, you will walk into our pre-function space with a Grand Staircase. Our meeting space is situated on two floors with outdoor meeting space adjacent for your client’s ease of use.

Technology-focused meeting space with floor to ceiling windows offer desirable natural light throughout the foyer areas, providing stunning views of the Lagoon or Golf Course
