POSITION PROFILE

As a Continuous Improvement Intern working at Knoll, you will work with management and team members on continuous improvement initiatives to identify problems and ways to solve them.

Our Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Work with the team on continuous improvement projects, which will kick off and close with presentations.

Learn different ways to gather and use data.

Actively engage and encourage the involvement of team members in improvement initiatives.

Perform problem identification and Kaizen activities.

Understand parts constraints and work based on facts.

Ensure measurable improvement to goals and facilitate a quick response to problems.

Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project.

Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.

Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.

Required Skills

Experienced with data analytics and have strong observation skills.

Able to lead others toward improved performance, build relationships, and implement change effectively.

In favorable academic standing within your current academic program.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Able to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Required Experience

Experienced with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel VisualBasic (VBA) or comparable programming experience.

Basic knowledge of CAD-based software (Solidworks preferred).

Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering degree or another related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
