Warby Parker is on the lookout for an analytical, organized Senior Manager, Inventory Allocation to ensure our inventory is in the right spots at the right time, maximizing sales and customer satisfaction. The person in this role will play a key part in forming our future distribution strategy—from our retail stores and options labs to our Home Try-On program—by continually analyzing Warby Parker’s business, customer demand, and inventory movements.
In this position, you’ll oversee a team that determines target SKU-level inventory quantities across all of our sales channels. We’ll count on you to serve as the point person for information about inventory levels at each of our stores. A strong cross-functional partner, you’ll also be responsible for making strategic recommendations to inform our inventory allocation strategy, SKU count targets, and SKU lifecycle management, all while increasing inventory productivity and sales. Sound like your cup of tea (or coffee…or yerba mate)? Keep reading!
What you’ll do:
Own our channel-level allocation strategy, set target on-hand levels across all store and optical lab locations, and create shipment plans
Maintain inventory turns and stock to sales ratio by location and allocation strategy, determining the optimal replenishment cadence by location; partner closely with our Retail, Lab, and Distribution teams
Set target Home Try-On inventory quantities based on current business trends
Manage a team of high-performing inventory allocators
Ensure our inventory systems and processes match our needs as our store count and assortment grow
Work closely with our Product Development team to manage our inbound PO process and understand the flow of inventory from delivery at the distribution center to allocation
Partner closely with our Supply Chain team to monitor shipments across our network and ensure on-time deliveries to each location
Develop and execute risk management plans when appropriate, recommending process improvements as necessary
Who you are:
Backed by 5 years of experience in allocation, store planning, or retail operations for a fashion or accessories product; including 1–2 years as a people manager
Extremely organized and attentive to detail—almost (almost!) to a fault
Highly analytical and capable of working magic in Excel, especially when it comes to building models
A strong relationship-builder who’s able to work with many personality types
Driven by a sense of urgency and able to prioritize work to maximize your impact
About Us:
Warby Parker was founded with a mission: to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose, and style.
We’re constantly asking ourselves how we can do more and make a greater impact—and that starts by reimagining everything that a company and industry can be.
We want to demonstrate that a business can scale, be profitable, and do good in the world—without charging a premium for it. And we’ve learned that it takes creativity, empathy, and innovation to achieve that goal.
Since the day we launched in 2010, we’ve pioneered ideas, designed products, and developed technologies that help people see. We offer everything our customers need for happier eyes at a price that leaves them with money in their pockets, from designer-quality glasses and contacts to eye exams and vision tests.
Ultimately, we believe in vision for all, which is why for every pair of glasses or sunglasses we sell, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program. Over eight million pairs of glasses have been distributed in over 50 countries; that means eight million people now have the glasses they need to learn, work, and achieve better economic outcomes.
At Warby Parker, you can look forward to company outings and events, volunteering and learning opportunities, and just great company filled with curious, kind folks. Dreaming up and sharing ideas aren’t responsibilities reserved for certain teams or leaders; the challenge (a really fun one) of innovation is on all of our shoulders. Teammates can also connect around common interests, backgrounds, and identities, no matter their home base, through our various employee resource groups. (We’re happy to say that the Human Rights Campaign has named us a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ employees!) That sense of community and belonging keeps us excited to walk through the door every day, wherever that door may be.
We're driven to continue building a workplace, based on inclusive behaviors and equitable systems, where all employees can bring their authentic selves, feel engaged, and share their perspectives as a valued member of Team Warby.
Transparency is what we’re all about, and our annual
Impact Report and Racial Equity Strategy
lay out how we’re sticking to these values.
