Essential Functions: Purchases highest quality merchandise at lowest possible price and in correct amounts. Prepares purchase orders, solicits bid proposals, and reviews requisitions for goods and services. Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities. Reviews and researches supplier\u2019s reputation and history. Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices. Negotiates, re-negotiates, and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives. Monitors shipments to ensure on-time deliveries. Traces shipments and follows up on undelivered goods to resolve shipping issues. Confers with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services; determines corrective actions. Evaluates and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations; determines need for changes as necessary. Maintains and reviews computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories. Reviews catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and internet sites to locate necessary goods and services; consults with other department personnel, if necessary. Arranges payment of duty and freight charges. Adheres to processes and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services. Attends meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions, and seminars to network with industry professionals.Develops and maintains network of vendors, distributors, and professional contacts.Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of managementEducation and Experience:Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or relevant field preferred.Minimum three (3) years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, and relevant experience.Previous buying experience, preferred.Pay Range:\u00A0$25.00-$27.00/hr\u00A0
