Job Summary

The Comcast Enterprise Procurement team spans Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky, proactively managing a trusted supplier network across the globe to protect our business and drive long-term value. Comcast is seeking a Director, Enterprise Procurement to lead the consulting spend category within the company’s enterprise Professional Services ecosystem. This high-visibility leadership role will partner with executive leadership across the Comcast Cable, NBCU and Sky to develop innovative and industry-leading solutions to manage Comcast’s professional services ecosystem. Comcast’s Enterprise Procurement team creates, manages, and improves business outcomes from the company’s global third-party supplier ecosystem. The Professional Services procurement team works as a fully integrated enterprise function with presence in diverse global locations like Chennai, Bangalore, Milan, London, Munich, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey, overseeing all Professional Services engagements across Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky. The team is currently developing and executing on an ambitious and exciting multi-year journey to transform the company’s professional services landscape. The Director, Enterprise Procurement will be accountable for all service-related needs of the industry’s most innovative technology and business team supporting Comcast’s 33 million customers in the US and collaborate across the enterprise team to support similar scopes at Sky and NBCU. This leadership role will manage a supplier ecosystem to deliver on the company’s business priorities which span a wide spectrum from new product launches to improving customer experience. Additionally, this role will directly interact with and influence senior executives across the company, and at suppliers, on various strategic priorities. The individual will also play a leading role to contribute towards cross-category and cross-company enterprise programs which include sustainability, supplier diversity, supplier management, supplier Net Promoter Score and customer experience improvements.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Provide thought leadership and execution of the Professional Services category

Drive and continuously improve the sourcing process to deliver on the company’s go-to-market objectives and savings targets

Partner with the relevant technology and business executive teams to design, implement and improve all supplier and market facing interactions for the company

Over the next 24 months, design, develop and execute on a vision to deliver on the ambitious agenda of the company by:

simplifying the professional services supplier ecosystem through long range planning and execution

right-sizing and transforming the use of consulting partners across the enterprise

reducing Comcast’s overall business risk by creating and implementing innovative commercial and capability constructs into deals

Proactively develop recommendations on transformation of the professional services ecosystem to address the changing needs of the company and evolving market trends

Lead all market facing activity for in-scope category – this includes managing large RFPs, negotiating master services agreements, and reviewing statements of work

Operate as a senior level individual contributor, but over time build and manage a team of professionals to support the scope

Leverage and enhance advanced analytics to monitor and improve supplier performance

Drive programs within the Enterprise Procurement team to improve customer experience, increase automation, and enhance speed to market

Qualifications:

Comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing and owning solutions

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, ability to deal with ambiguity

Able to deconstruct and solve complex business problems by inspiring and leading a diverse team of individuals fostering alignment and program focus

Strong understanding of the professional services category, market context and service providers

Comfortable working in matrixed environment and managing internal and external executive stakeholders

Experience in working across geographies and time-zones in an environment where diversity of opinion and experience are harnessed for better business outcomes

Expertise in supporting the dynamic professional services needs of a fast-moving, technology-led market leading companies

Ability to partner strategically from an organizational and technical perspective

Lead by example mentality inspiring trust and togetherness

Proactively identify areas for process improvement, innovation and opportunities for efficiency and synergy

Superior presentation skills with the ability to exert influence and inspire others

8 years of direct experience in leading the professional services spend category at scale and driving successful transformation within this space

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent required, advanced degree strongly preferred

Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and travel occasionally
