The Demand Planning Operations Associate Manager is responsible for the development, co-ordination, communication and analysis related to end to end supply chain activities supporting multi-channel inventory management at a corporate or local level for key events. The Associate Manager utilizes comprehensive business knowledge and critical thinking skills to develop strategies and execute plans associated with events impacting inventory movement and placement. The DPO Associate Manager is responsible for managing activities with cross-functional partners including core business, transportation/distribution, retail, and marketing. The Associate Manager utilizes multi-functional expertise and experience to provide a holistic view representing core demand planning functions and multi-channel inventory impacts and is responsible for delivering sustainable solutions aligned with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Capability Execution

Single Point of Contact for inventory management and supply chain activities executing centralized actions across businesses

Responsible for facilitation of cross-functional meeting rhythms, command centers, and leadership escalations associated with events impacting inventory management, supply chain, demand planning and retail

Accountable for the collection of post mortem reviews utilized to initiate proactive improvements designed to add value through efficiency, effectiveness and cross-functional integration

Directly support market needs by defining and executing actions which translate corporate business strategy into unique opportunities at a local level (ex: store, market, category, distribution network)

Teaming/Communication

Initiate conversations with cross-functional partners to develop best practice in areas impacting multi-channel inventory purchasing, placement and Supply Chain outcomes

Utilize extensive end-to-end knowledge and influence to balance opposing needs and deliver optimal outcomes across the enterprise through all channels

Maintain business rhythm with demand planning teams designed to guide consistent behaviors through education and execution, aligning corporate strategies with local insights

Responsible for appropriate documentation of core processes and operating procedures executed by the operations team

Business Strategy Development

Develop end-to-end plans supporting anticipated and un-anticipated events impacting inventory designed to maximize business results across the company

Utilize comprehensive understanding of multi-faceted processes to guide conversations with cross-functional teams, aligning corporate strategy with existing capabilities and business needs

Apply critical thinking skills and business/system knowledge to improve current performance and identify opportunities for change

Personal/Professional Development

Manage team of individuals focused on market performance and inventory excellence balancing the needs of retail, demand planning, and Supply Chain

Maintain strong relationships with multiple cross-functional leaders acting as a Subject Matter Expert and business partner

Actively participate in the performance appraisal process, meeting all timelines and demonstrating a personal commitment to the development of the team

Basic Qualifications:

4 or more years experience in Inventory management, Supply Chain, Business management, Project management or Retail

Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally

Leadership skills and ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization

Ability to identify and act on business opportunities through strong cross-functional planning, communication and execution
