PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Senior Manager Product Content Operations will serve a key role in the Guest Experience on Target.com.  This position will create digital standards to provide the right level of content for every item on Target.com.  The team will also hold business partners accountable to these standards through education and content audits.  This position manages the Content Operations team, supporting the Product Content Leads and Planners in achieving category specific strategies to ensure our Guest is getting exactly what they want with every digital experience. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead development of site-wide content standards to create a cohesive Guest Experience across all Target platforms

Prioritize technology development with our product partners to achieve content objectives

Lead the Content Item Certification Program to hold our business partners accountable for a best-in-class experience for all items on Target.com

Lead Product Content creation for Target , Target’s curated Marketplace initiative

Build out new Global capabilities to streamline process, reduce workload, and create new content capabilities that maximize our available resources

Provide subject matter expertise for key Item, Site Merchant, and Merchant partners to ensure our Item level experience is up to our site standards

Vendor Negotiations (3rd Party Content Providers):  Work with relevant 3rd party content providers, partnering to align services provided, contract pricing, contract negotiations and relationship management.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

·       Reports to Director, Product Content

·       Internal Clients:  Item, Site Merchandising, Merchandising, Target Marketing, In-house Creative, Product Design and Development, Packaging, Accessibility, Product Tools, Data Science

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·       Four-year college degree with focus in business, marketing, editorial/creative, or related field preferred.

·       5-10 years experience within Product Content, Marketing, Site Merchandising, Item or Merchandising

·       Digital, e-commerce experience highly preferred

·       Proven leadership and decision-making skills

·       Strong partner relationship skills

·       Strong planning and organization skills

·       Assertiveness and strong initiative to drive change

·       Strong detail orientation with high degree of accuracy

·       Ability to be flexible, adapt quickly and work with ambiguity

·       Strong creative problem solving skills

·       Strong communication, presentation skills

·       Strong execution skills, self-motivated, able to set work plans and prioritize

·       Self-starter and able to thrive in a highly dynamic environment
