Education/Work Experience Requirements
A minimum of three (3) years of clerical work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
Two years of related work experience in a Material Management function (e.g. inventory, distribution, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Job Knowledge/Abilities:
Knowledge of the purpose functionality and operation of automated inventory management systems.
Knowledge of the sources for, and use of, a wide variety of healthcare-related supplies/materials.
Knowledge of the standards, practices, resources and tools applicable to inventory management, cost containment and purchasing/procurement.
Knowledge of general office principles, practices, systems and equipment.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, CHI-FH procedures for the acquisition, inventory and distribution of supplies/materials.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, material management practices and procedures as they relate to the work of the position.
Ability to process and present data clearly.
Ability to read, understand and apply policies, procedures, contract provisions and product literature relating to matters within defined scope of responsibility.
Ability to keep abreast of, and comply with, internal standards and regulatory requirements regarding product recalls, product failures and returns of outdated materials.
Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, summarizing analysis in reports with minimal supervision.
Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level. Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Basic knowledge of supply chain applications.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.
