What’s the role?
The IT Operations Lead is accountable for the operations of the landscapes and the delivery of the day-to-day E2E application and infrastructure services according to the agreed Service Levels and/or Operate Level Agreements specific to Global Lubricants IT landscape. They are the day-to-day service integrator (end-to-end) to ensure landscapes and portfolio remain compliant. The IT Operations Lead drives Incident/Problem resolution in terms of delivery, fixes, and supportability with the team of engineers and/suppliers. They ensure regulatory and compliance controls are embedded in Landscape and portfolio through evidence collection.
The IT Operations Lead works with the IT Operation Engineers for supportability and transition activities of enhancements and project solutions. This includes analyzing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements for supportability impact, as well as assessing implications of landscape and portfolio changes and reviewing for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities. They also build knowledge of relevant information risks and regulatory requirements.
Accountabilities include:
End-to end responsible for the IT operations of the relevant (Business Critical) product line, landscape or service according to agreed Service Levels and/or Operate Level Agreements
Responsible in supporting the IT Operations Manager for the IT operating plan, budget and operational lifecycle of the landscape
Responsible for managing supplier performance and contracts.
Responsible for reviewing the landscapes and products for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsible for compliance with the relevant information security, IT controls and legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the identification of systemic issues on (Business Critical) Landscapes, driving structural improvements while balancing costs with business value; supporting Service Operations Management (SOM) in optimizing landscape Total Cost of Ownership.
Responsible with operational readiness activities of enhancements and project solutions. This includes analysing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements.
Ensure effective Major Incident (MI) management and swift service restoration - during Major Incidents
What we need from you?
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Minimum ten (10) years relevant work experience in IT Service Operations
Bachelor’s Degree is a must
Strong knowledge in IT Service Management processes & Integration Support.
Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps delivery
Strong Knowledge of Cloud Hosting Platforms
Demonstrable experience in vendor and contract management.
Strong experience with information risk management and IT controls operations.
Strong Understanding of various cloud hosting technologies.
Continuous improvement: Implement on-going improvements to existing application landscape operations resulting in efficiencies gained.
