The Senior Process Improvement Professional for the Author by Humana Service Operations team analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. The Senior Process Improvement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Process Improvement Professional researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost. Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Your responsibilities in the Author by Humana Service Operations team may include:
Support all Author Service Operations to document and iterate on business process opportunities.
Document processes in working sessions with subject matter experts to garner real-time process feedback.
Ask key questions to uncover and document tribal knowledge within processes.
Map, design, implement, and improve customer experience/journey and business processes across designated areas of responsibility to help enhance customer experience, improve internal operations, reduce cost, optimize business outcomes, and increase business value.
Representing Author by Humana Service Operations processes and policies to key stakeholders and customers.
Help to define process controls to measure process success.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of operational experience within a process capacity
Proven experience using process mapping to tell the story
Ability to facilitate conversations while mapping out processes
Ability to positively influence others
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Comfortable with change, shifting role assignments, and ambiguity
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with business process modeling (BPM) and business process modeling tools
Experience with large-scale business process design and/or improvement projects
Lean or Six Sigma certification
Healthcare operational experience supporting Medicare products
Experience influencing change
Prior experience in the health solutions industry
Prior experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Knowledge of software development lifecycle
Progressive business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
