Job ID 21000M8IAvailable Openings 1PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The incumbent will be responsible for day to day operational activities within the Logistics organization. Areas of focus include responsibilities such as: planning, scheduling and monitoring inbound equipment and materials shipments; controlling material movement throughout the entire product lifecycle, leading the coordination of inbound logistics activities from plants, tracking data and reporting metrics for ongoing projects; inventory control system transactions, cycle counting, receiving support; and track and trace/resolution activities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Track and trace responsibilities for outbound shipments Research and resolution to time sensitive issues Obtain freight quotes and bookings for transportation partners Coordinate pick-ups/returns for customers Work cross-functionally to achieve goals Manage finished goods inventory Inventory reconciliation activities Prepare/update and issue product order fulfillment reports Proof shipping documents Prepare periodic reports for U.S. customs as required Manage customer returns and non-conforming material transactions and update all databases as required Provide input regarding potential efficiency improvement regarding Logistic operations File and resolve freight claims through service providers and insurance company when applicable Review and code related service provider invoices in a timely manner and record costs for future analysis Support other Logistics activities, as needed Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. EDUCATION: Associates degree or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 3 years experience in field of inventory control, purchasing, logistics or production planning/supervising Medical device or diagnostics experience strongly preferred Experience with MRP/ERP/WMS application software Must be able to act with a sense of urgency and can work well under pressure Must be extremely organized Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong ability to interface with other departments Willingness to communicate regularly with the management team Experienced in PC applications such as Access, Excel, Word, Outlook May require lifting 2 to 10 lbs.
