The Forecast Capability Planner is responsible for supporting the Demand Forecasting system and process. This includes complex work to optimize the Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF) tool. The planner Category teams through process improvement and centralization of tasks within the forecasting tool. Planners will help provide cross functional teams accurate forecast inputs for yearly events and partner with outside groups to act as forecasting subject matter experts. Forecast Capability Planners will also help maintain IS partnership and drive both system stability and system enhancements. The Forecast Capability Planner will act as a technical and decision support resource for Category Analysts across the company and will be a key expert on RDF and its interaction with other systems and processes including comprehensive knowledge of how forecasting interacts with people and processes on the Category teams. The Forecast Capability Planner is the utmost expert in regards to forecasting systems, tools and processes.

Responsibilities:

Utilize key expertise to optimize forecasting settings across various Category teams.

Scope and test enhanced functionality in Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF).

Develop SOPs for end users, reflecting most up to date functionality of systems and processes.

Interact with multiple levels of the organization and play a key role providing a forecasting and inventory perspective on various company and business team initiatives.

Work with the outside teams to provide forecasting information and solutions for business, retail, and project teams.

Support companywide projects and initiatives.

Works with Category Enablement Operations to ensure the successful alignment of Forecasting and Inventory Systems.

Partner to complete projects and initiatives where inventory, supply chain, forecasting, all converge.

Basic Qualifications:

3 years experience in Inventory management, Planning or Forecasting.

Analytical problem solving.

Knowledge of retail industry, interest in Supply Chain management.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with strong interpersonal skills and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

1 or more years of Retail Demand Forecast Experience (Cloud Experience a plus)
