The Supply Planner Optimization (SPO) role offers an excellent opportunity to impact Lubricants, driving monetary and process improvements via an action focused approach supported with strong data analysis skills, and self­-motivated value hunting across the business.

The primary focus of the SPO is to identify and implement value improvement opportunities ranging from large­scale, cross-­functional projects to smaller, CI initiatives that contribute to the delivery of our Accelerated Growth strategy. The SPO will champion the IBV mindset within LSC and the broader NA Lubes organization, helping colleagues to understand their role in the IBV journey and how they can contribute. Key stakeholders include: LSC E2E SC Performance, Supply Chain Optimization & Projects, Development, Base Oil, Product Management, and HSSE; Sales; Marketing; OTC; Finance.

The role offers a great opportunity for the successful candidate to make a real difference with a positive, action focused approach to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement both in the role itself as well as in the lubricants business at large. In a world where supply chains are becoming a competitive advantage, the SPO role drives the difficult e2e decision of balancing supply security, business growth, and e2e value optimization.

Accountabilities

KPIs for the Business – drives performance review and management (e.g. OTIF, Working Capital, Fit4 savings, Supplier OTIF, etc) and supports root cause analysis aimed at continuous improvement within LSC.

Supporting the S&OP process by ensuring sufficient e2e capacity in network to support demand – from raw materials to production to logistics.

Determining optimal customer and production sourcing by evaluating feasibility, capacity, cost, working capital, and customer satisfaction trade-offs.

Optimizing the supply chain footprint by identifying opportunities ranging from tank optimization, to economic order quantity analysis, to formulation optimization – leveraging various tools and gathering insights from across the organization.

Fit4/Value hunting – Leverage IBV tools (namely Llamasoft, CtS, Luminous, LAMP, OptiRight, BlendRight), where applicable, to identify value & other network optimization opportunities.

Contribute to overall goal of $25mm of value delivery in 2022

Stakeholder management - Relationship building and maintaining knowledge of all parts of the organization ­ to know where to go to get specific work accomplished. Understanding the relationship between marketing/sales/customer requirements and the Supply Chain organization's capabilities to meet those requirements

Business growth – provide support and analysis for GKA tenders, business case introductions (BCIs), and other new business opportunities

DDMRP oversight – Look for trends within buffers (inventory) that suggest areas for strategic changes to drive down working capital while ensuring customer satisfaction targets are met.

Skills & Requirements

What we need from you -

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor’s degree is required.

At least three (3) years of experience in supply chain and optimization.

Strong analytical skills are needed to be successful in this role.

Ability to use and fully leverage IBV tools, extract raw data from GSAP.

Create & manipulate large datasets analyze the data and then generate meaningful insights to then make strong proposals where trade­off decisions are generally required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities within a short span of time is also crucial.

Flexibility is a key success factor for the role, given the dynamic nature of the supply chain.
