Profile

Summary

This position will be a member of the Continuous Improvement Team supporting the Tyson distribution business unit. This position will develop, implement, and maintain engineered labor standards within Tyson distribution business unit including complexes/plants and distribution centers. This position is responsible for ensuring communication and promotion of the labor standards and opportunities for improvement are understood across BU leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement engineered labor standards within Warehouse Labor Management system

Audit and maintain standards as process changes occur

Communicate and initiate improvement activities

Provide technical guidance and support to operations to maintain optimal performance.

This position will be part of a team responsible for managing labor standards at all facilities within Tyson distribution business unit.

Requirements

Education:

BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical degree preferred, but not required.

Experience:

5 years’ experience in engineering, operations, or supply chain project management

Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management methodologies

Experience in implementing engineered labor standards (JDA/Red Prairie) pertaining to Warehouse Management Systems or Labor Management Systems

Computer Skills:

Standard computer skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Ability to create written documentation

Familiarity with JDA Warehouse Labor Management systems is a plus

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Special Skills:

Excellent leadership

Consultative and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated organizational skills and detailed results-oriented focus

Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred

Craft those insights into a compelling message which will engage a wide audience

And finally share your content with our operations customers to help improve our processes

Travel:

80% plus travel is required to Tyson Foods locations across the continental US
