Radisys is searching for an Export Compliance and Logistics Specialist. 

In this position, you will be

responsible for providing global trade compliance and logistics expertise. This role will encompass a broad range of regulatory compliance subjects, including: Import and Export Compliance, Software and Technology Exports, Deemed Exports, and all related Import/Export Compliance Governance requirements.  You will be involved in the selection and management of carriers and 3PLs. You will interact with the Business Units, Legal, Finance / Accounting, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other internal businesses and external stakeholders. 

Location:  US Remote Office

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as internal consultant with all Radisys offices, business units, internal and external customers for import and export compliance issues.

Develop processes, procedures, and systems related to export compliance and logistics.

Handle technical details relating to international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.

Support selection of and manage 3PLs and carriers.

Identify relevant trade compliance imperatives applicable to our hardware, software, services, technologies, and people.

Proactively identify areas of compliance risk, and present risk assessment and improvement plan.

Serve as a subject matter expert on shipment document preparation and transportation for international and domestic shipments.  Will also be the subject matter expert for harmonized tariff codes, ECCN, and schedule B when required.

Stay current on changes to regulatory requirements and best practices related to trade compliance.

You will be required to efficiently evaluate the costs of transportation, and services within any budget or distribution strategy.

Will

be responsible for identifying any tax and tariffs that could be imposed on domestic and international shipments. 

Will provide cost estimates to the business and also recommend alternative options to minimize the costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree

10 years of experience in trade compliance with experiences in import/export operations, broker management, customs valuation, country of origin, special trade modes (e.g. bonded warehouse, free trade zones) in Asia-Pacific region, South America, and other countries.

Must have knowledge of hardware and software for computer and telecommunications industries and experience in a Trade Compliance role in these industries.

Experience engaging with regulators, and representing complex requirements for import and/or export activities preferred

Must be able to work independently and autonomously and must be able to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Strong MS Office tools experience.

Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills

Willing to Travel approximately 15%.
