You will be responsible for finite scheduling of SKUs on specific manufacturing assets. You will work with a supply planner to execute the master plan and make weekly adjustments to ensure product quantities are produced on time. You will be closely linked to plant operations and ensure line performance, planned downtime, and staffing assumptions are communicated to the supply planner.

How you will contribute

You will:

Maintain master data in company systems to ensure there is a constant stream of accurate information for the blackout calendar including min lot size/rounding values, production versions, master recipes/BOMs; run rates, loss factors and changeover matrices

Convert weekly supply planning orders to production planning and detailed scheduling orders as production plans roll into the finite window

Hold weekly scheduling meetings with product supply to determine necessary changes to the plant’s production schedule

Work cross-functionally to ensure that labor, material, and operational inputs can support the aligned schedule. Hold internal scheduling meetings with all key team members

Sequence production planning and detailed scheduling in the finite window to reflect production plans for deployment

Create and close process orders for each week’s production and adjust daily as necessary

Manage master compliance to schedule by ensuring short-, medium- and long-term plans are equivalent to process orders in the current week

Essential Job Functions

Duties may include (but are not limited to:

Coordinate inbound release/expediting of direct raw and packaging materials to meet the production schedule while maintaining inventories at or below the targeted levels.

Primary source for supplier relationships and communications within the facility.

Primary resource and support raw/packaging inventory and procurement system.

Coordinate finite production schedule for the plant to meet both Network inventory targets and work within the plant equipment and labor capacities.

Procure all of the raw and packaging materials for the Naperville plant. Monitor and maintain incoming goods and inventory levels.

Procure various expense/Operating materials for the plant

Coordinate, execute and communicate finite production schedules melding the Master schedule with planet run rules.

Liaise with Procurement function to ensure adequate materials and ingredients are available to meet production plan, while ensuring the total stock of such items remain within agreed tolerances.

Execute and monitor promotional activities, materials or vendor changes and new products. Coordinate with R&D for testing or productivity projects.

Maintain supplier relationships. Resolve delivery, quality, procedural and invoice discrepancies. Communicate and issue complaints to vendor and ensure corrective action and reimbursement.

Complete all CBT,BOS and safety training requirements.

Maintain, use, and monitor supply systems – SAP, APO, BNSF system

Maintain effective inventory management and quality assurance procedures. Ensure reports and procedures enhance corrective and preventative measures for inventory integrity. Maintain effective inventory management procedures, research and reconcile inventory discrepancies to system records. Identify root causes of discrepancy and institutes corrective actions.

Attend logistics conference calls, plant meetings as Master scheduler, systems training and materials conference calls as needed.

Ensure that adequate control processes are followed to ensure data accuracy in planning systems including, but not limited to: Master recipes, Bill of Materials, Material transfers, cycle counts, resource allocation, run rates etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3 years in Functional Area

Previous experience with Materials Planning

Excellent Leadership, Interpersonal, and Analytical skills

Strong Computer (MS Office) and Communication Skills (Oral and Written) at all levels of the organization

Experience with SAP
