Job ID 21000MKOAvailable Openings 1PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Responsible for developing and executing strategies to support NxStage / Fresenius Medical Care North America’s Sourcing objectives. Responsible for procurement strategic category management, supplier negotiations, contracts, and ongoing supplier management in assigned materials, across multiple commodities. Coordinates with Procurement, Engineering and supporting organizations to ensure alignment of procurement strategies where material/service synergies exist. Manage the strategic operations and activities of team members responsible for rolling out and implementing the centralization of procurement operations projects and programs including negotiating, tracking, and analyzing contracts to maximize cost savings opportunities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain operational standards for sourcing programs, project management and deploying procurement programs. Manage multiple program strategies and continued execution of programs goals and deliverables. Drive completion of simultaneous programs and projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimized results. Be a strategic driver for organizational excellence, which seeks to enhance the practices of execution management, organizational governance and strategic operational change for procurement programs. Responsible for vendor contracts that represent annual purchasing expenditures up to $40 million. Collaborate with senior leaders to establish short- and long-term business objectives for Strategic Procurement initiatives. Develop strategic operational plans for implementation and change management for department projects and resource planning. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in the development, demonstration and implementation of procurement operational programs and projects. Build relationships and effectively partners across varied functions with key internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to influence change. Coordination of the procurement work flow processes for projects. Distribution of important project information and topics to the procurement organization Utilizes knowledge to manage and negotiate FMS national contracts with preferred vendors. Develops formal procurement policies to enhance all future contract negotiations and strives to enhance the current maturity of the procurement process within FMS. Ensures that all NxStage key spend categories are covered by contracts. Leads and supervises staff in all formal requests for proposals and invitations for bids to vendors. Drives detailed bid analyses, determines the most advantageous and lowest overall cost bid, and awards the contract to the bidder that meets the requirements of the field organizations that the vendor will service. Measures, tracks, and analyzes NxStage vendor contracts to ensure facilities earn the maximum discounts available. Conducts quarterly business reviews with chosen vendors to discuss previous quarters book of business with each vendor. Reviews vendor rating and shares information to enhance the partnership established with each key vendor. Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. TRAVEL: Up to approximately 50% as required EDUCATION: Engineering Degree in related field, Masters preferred EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 8 years’ experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management.
