This individual is responsible for business process functionality in support of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. The scope includes problem determination, issue resolution, quality assurance, security and access, and compliance to all applicable SS&P enterprise-wide policies and procedures. This individual will assess the criticality of problems and communicate problem resolution plans and estimated resolution times. This individual will also contribute to overall organizational efficiency through effective partnering with customers, analysts, and technology support teams to provide end-to-end process delivery. This role will also be integral in supporting the GP governance process, responsible for developing compliance and reporting processes and managing and monitoring internal compliance.
This role will require interaction with various stakeholders, primarily within Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, but will also engage external parties and work with partners as appropriate to bring best practices to bear at BMS.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop, manage, and track key compliance processes in accordance with organizational objectives and regulations
The processes under supervision include: Audit Management, Corporate Responsibility, SOX, Policies & Procedures Compliance, Letter of Assurance, Integrated Risk Management, Compliance Required Training, Spend Compliance, Process Compliance, Policy Compliance, Price Compliance
Develop and maintain compliance documents in support of compliance programs as required
Ensure adherence to all established GP and enterprise-wide policies and standards
Plan, develop or provide operating policies, guidelines and procedures that ensure best in class Strategic Sourcing and Procurement capabilities
Provide compliance & customer service capability direction for the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement governance support model and team throughout the U.S.
Develop goals and objectives for GP departments ensuring alignment to organizational goals
Assist in development of diversity, talent management, process discipline, compliance monitoring and performance management policies in alignment to organizational goals
Provide response mechanism for day-to-day inquiries and issues
Prepare periodic reports of compliance activities for senior management and other areas of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization
Collaborate with functional leadership to design and develop performance management standards, scorecards, and reports
Track status of key reporting inputs and relay information as necessary to leadership and functional area teams

Business unit specific leadership teams
Members of industry councils and organizations
Qualifications:
B.S./B.A.
Minimum of 8-10 years of business experience or similar business experience
Minimum of 6-8 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience or similar related procurement experience
Minimum of 2 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams
Managerial experience including managing teams of senior professionals and managers and establishing performance expectations
Internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills
Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S./M.B.A.
Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
4 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM
