DHG names corporate director of operations
Denihan Hospitality Group (DHG) has appointed Don Fraser to serve as its corporate director of operations. Fraser will manage housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations for the hospitality business. Fraser, who most recently served as general manager at the Hilton Newark Penn Station in Newark, NJ, brings to DHG more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He will primarily provide support, training, and guidance for DHG's Affinia Hotels and Benjamin brands in the fields of talent management, corporate contracts, financial performance, brand standards, and standard operating procedures. Based in New York City, DHG is looking to expand its core brands along with its other independent businesses.
Peabody Energy announces new operations manager for its Rawhide Mine
Scott N. Durgin has been named operations manager for Peabody Energy’s Rawhide Mine near Gillette, Wyoming. Durgin will manage operations, including safety, sourcing, continuous improvement, environmental management, and finance at Peabody’s 17 million ton-per-year mine. Earlier, Durgin was senior manager of the operations support division at the company’s North Antelope Rochelle Mine, a leading ultra-low sulfur mine. At North Antelope, he assisted in commissioning a Bucyrus-Erie 2570 dragline and in-pit conveyor system. After joining Peabody’s subsidiary in 1996 as a mine engineer, Durgin served in a number of mine-management positions.
